Cirein Croin

Design concept for a Cirein-cròin, a large sea serpent from Scottish Gaelic mythology. This creature was reputed to be the largest of Sea Serpents and had the ability to turn itself into a smaller fish in order to get closer to prey such as whales, which it could eat up to 7 of, and fishermen.

As there is next to no artwork of this monster this is mostly creativity and guesswork based off existing concepts of sea serpents as well as some aspects of an Oarfish from which most legends of sea serpents originated.

His back fin is missing and scarred over from battle.
